ABOUT US

The WJ Story:

Wilton Joubert was founded by Andrew Wilton and Kobus Joubert in 2001 with the ambition of being the first residential dedicated group of consulting engineers in New Zealand. Both former employees of Firth New Zealand, they constantly struggled to find an engineering consultancy which would offer residential engineering at a fair price and inside a realistic timeframe. They decided to leave Firth to build a consultancy to fill the market gap. What started in Kobus’ garage has quickly gathered steam as key staff members joined to service an ever-growing clientele. That was 22 years ago, now in 2023 the company continues to go from strength to strength, with over sixty staff, and offices from Kerikeri to Wanaka.
