FLOORS & FOUNDATIONS
Sites with good founding conditions are increasingly difficult to get. We specialize in providing specific designs for foundations, with the aim of designing robust and efficient foundations whilst providing ‘value engineering.’
We frequently design waffle or raft slabs, which can be designed to suit soft soils, expansive soils and sites prone to liquefaction.
RETAINING STRUCTURES
The importance of retaining structures are often treated as secondary to the main buildings, but failure of such structures can have significant impacts. We design retaining walls to account for the site conditions and surrounding structures that may be impacted by the retaining structure.
SPECIFIC DESIGNS
We can design structural elements and components required for buildings which fall outside non-specific design standards (eg. NZS3604). These typically include, but are not limited to, lintels, beams, wall bracing, wall and column stability and portal frames.
